by Eric Swann 19. May 2011 16:14

Eric Swann landed in Austin in 1989 to attend UT Austin and, like many others, decided to stay. Eric graduated from UT with a degree in Molecular Biology but quickly became interested in the emerging capabilities of the web.

Eric didn't pursue professional software development until the mid 90's and has found both a career and a passion.  Eric cut his teeth creating web sites and writing VB applications, but transitioned to .Net while 1.0 was still in beta.  Since that time, Eric has focused on the .Net platform and it's capability to build distributed web-based applications.  Eric earned an MCSD in Visual Basic.Net, but transitioned to C# at the first opportunity and hasn't looked back.

Some of Eric's projects include leading several B2B and B2C commercial web applications including the following:

EnvisionOptions.com

ApartmentFinder.com

ConnectionTime.com

In addtion, amongst other projects, Eric has produced data warehousing solutions for major corporations, and accounting and claims-processing systems for major governmental entities.  Eric is a proud employee of HDRI and is constantly seeking to expand our available business and technical capabilities.

Outside of work, Eric enjoys all things exertive, from running to hiking to skating and cycling.  In addition Eric has been a volunteer for several years with many causes, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity.  Eric also created the website of the Austin Childrens Museum pro bono and orchestrated it's hosting by one of his employers.
